Relational Intimacy: 6-Week Online Intensive
Journey down through mind, heart, guts, and sex to embodied intimacy. Then the journey begins: “How do I bring this into every corner of my life?” Not for the faint of heart.
Wednesdays 3-5pm Eastern US: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & November 6 on Zoom
Over the course of six weeks we will explore the realms of relational intimacy. This is the first time Sofia-Jeanne is offering these group practices outside of a retreat setting; you are deeply encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity! This is an invitation to explore depths of experience that can be difficult to reach, sustain, and integrate without a supportive holding environment.
The curriculum also contains practices Sofia-Jeanne has never before offered, even during retreats. You will dive deeply into their own relationship with intimacy, cultivating a nearness to your own sensitivity and excitement, and learn how to cultivate that level of intimacy in the presence and company of others. You will be invited to take the seeds of what you learn and plant them in your life, in the seedbeds of your relationships, as you learn what it takes to tend the fertile soil of intimacy.
Intimacy extends to all areas of life. You can be intimate in emotional, psychological, verbal, sexual, sensual, and energetic ways – sometimes, all at once. Some may wish to tend a specific domain of intimacy, while others may tend the breadth of their intimacy. Intimacy, writ large, is a willingness to express and be remain present with the many layers of experience that arise in relationship.
This intensive consists of weekly 2-hour sessions of guided practice and discussion. Intensive participants also gain access to two weekly groups in October, Mapping and Kintsugi (a $150 value). In addition, each participant is invited to an hour-long 1:1 with Sofia-Jeanne (a $200 value) at a time of their choosing during October or November.
In realms such as these, practicing online can be a huge boon. Where else can you simply turn off your camera to give yourself a nice breather when things get too hot? And conversely, it invites a translation of common moves that may invite intimacy, but tend to be easily accessible, like touch. If you can touch and be touched, deeply and intimately, through zoom, it’ll be even easier to do so in physical reality where you get to make use of touch, nonverbal cues, and body language, even more.

❔ FAQ
Can I stay over?
This is an online event. So, no. But I love the ambition, and I do plan to lead more multi-day in-person events in the future!
How much does this cost?
This event is offered on a $500-$1000 sliding scale. See the pricing section for more information.
How intense is this going to be?
The intensity will depend on your experience with similar practices in which tender and new emotions may arise, and your ability to tolerate your own emotional experience. However, most exercises can be engaged with on a titration scale, so that you can make it more or less intense as you choose by turning off your video or taking some time to breathe, as you wish.
Additionally, if there is anything you would like to opt out for, for any reason, you are always welcome to skip a given exercise. Your agency and sovereignty is welcome!
Am I going to have to take my clothes off?
Nope. We’ll be exploring the felt sense of intimacy more than the physical act of disrobing. You’ll have the option to explore varying states of undress if you would like, although I will have participants keep their camera above chest level.

Relational Awareness
Register for September Mapping sessions here.
This is a collaborative space to brainstorm and ask me questions in order to develop your relational practice. What are the primary patterns that are getting in your way? Where are your edges? What do you need to practice in order to show up in your life in a way that brings you, and others, alive? We explore what resonates with each person to clarify how you can get the most out of relational practice sessions. We’ll also discuss why certain approaches work the way they do. Mapping sets the foundation for cultivation practice during Kintsugi. It will enable you to dive into practice with more clarity and intention.
Kintsugi: Fridays, 1-3pm Eastern US
Relational Cultivation
Register for September Kintsugi sessions here.
In Kintsugi, we cultivate new ways of being and relating. It is a practice space where you are welcome to be other than you normally are. In particular, you are invited to learn into “relational edges” – patterns of relating that are both scary and exciting, given their potential for bringing aliveness into your own being AND your relationships.
Kintsugi is a facilitated space to relate to each other in more exciting and fulfilling ways, but there is no set structure. We emergently (and creatively) weave together new vistas for collective and interactive practice. This includes a main room in which anyone can practice and observe, as well as breakout rooms for dyad and triad practice on specific topics. Examples of common breakout room topics include practicing leading, practicing following, anger, sexuality, desire, intimacy, and wrestling.
Together, we find more meaningful ways of being together. If there are things you wish you could experience with other people, but you find yourself holding back – this is a space to practice freeing yourself; to allow yourself to be with others in deeper connection. A spicy, action-based practice.
You can listen to a recent Q&A session I led on relational practice here, and you can also watch a recorded online facilitated relational session here if you’re curious about my style of facilitation and the way I navigate relationality.
If you like understanding the concepts underlying these events, you can check out my writings and videos at https://sofiajeanne.substack.com/ where I discuss ideas that form the basis for my relational work. I especially recommend the pieces on Form and Feeling as crucial distinctions that guide my philosophy.
